Can only hear sound through earbuds

Hey,
Today, I was watching this video on my PC through my earbuds. I decided to share it with the rest of my family, so I unplugged the earbud, and showed the video to them...The problem was...There was no sound! I then plugged in the earbuds again, and the sound was there...I must admit that I did kinda do something with the volume control yesterday, not sure what, but can somebody tell me what mistake could I have possibly done and how to fix it?

Assuming you're using the front audio ports, remove the cable from the motherboard and place jumpers as displayed here.

This should isolate all audio to the rear jack. If it works, then the switch has probably failed in your case's headphone jack.

Try your speakers with another audio source such as an MP3 player, then if it works you know its a problem with your computer.
