Can I make my laptop better?

Hi guys. I have a Nitro an515-57 spects are LAPTOP-70LGMF5E 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 8.00 GB (7.77 GB usable) 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Now this is supposed to be a gaming laptop yet playing WoT I would average 21fps with up to 20sec of lag, it's laughable calling this expensive POS a gaming laptop.
I'm disabled and money is tight but is there any advice to boost performance please?

8gb of ram for a gaming laptop is really low. You should be 16gb or more. Also, you need to look in device manager under display adapters and see what is listed. Hopefully you'll see 2 entries in there and you just need to go into the software and enable the actual video card instead of using the onboard graphics.
 
What's the rest of the model string? an515-57 had a few sub-variants that indicate the GPU too.

But yes definitely more system RAM, 16G would be like bare minimum for 2025 and should smooth out your experience a bit.
