i am building my first pc, i got 8200mt/s ram but the pc can only see it as 5600. when i manualy put it up to 8200 it crashes, is there something wrong with my ram or motherboard ?, please let me know.bios.jpg

That is the latest bios even though there is a newer beta bios but not sure what its supposed to improve. Again, exactly how are you manually setting 8200mhz? You can try just enabling XMP setting in bios and it should set it to that. Some hardware just can't be stable at such a high speed and is never a guarantee thats its stable.

IMC probably can't handle 8200. 6000 CL30 is generally the sweet spot for those.

You might be able to push it up to 7k or so but would have to manually tune dividers/voltages/timings, some of the theoretical gains become detriments when the system has to pick a different divider than 1:1 and incurs a latency penalty.

You might be able to run that kit in an intel system, but otherwise you might be able to recover some dollars or roll it into a higher capacity kit like 2x32G for around the same price at 6000-6400 or so.
