Cable modem through USB or Ethernet?

I am in the process of hooking up my cable modem and im not sure which way would be better... I have a Linksys cable modem and it says it can be hooked up by USB or Ethernet, Which one would be better and faster or does it matter??

ethernet would be better.

ethernet is more stable,the basic speed would be more based on the speed of your cable.(not cable, as in the wire, cable as in your internet)

they would be the exact same speed, but Ethernet has less problems and you should just be able to plug it in and go.
