Hello,
My ex boyfriend gave me a computer that had just been reformatted. Everything works great except there is no sound.
Device Manager shows a yellow circle with an exclaimation mark in it, next to "C-Media AC97 Audio Device". When I click Properties, the device status says, "the device cannot start (Code 10)".
What the heck does that mean and how can I fix it? I want sound!
Do you think the driver is wrong? How do I know what driver I need and where do I get it? On Download.com, there are a million different ones for "C-Media AC97 Audio Device".
Thanks so much,
Laura
