Buying speakers, suggestions?

I want them to be rather compact, possibly even portable. I was wondering if there are any speakers that draw off your computers battery life? That would be nice too. (reduces my 2 hours to 1 =p) but yea. If they draw off my computer, any 2 speakers would be good, if not reccomend a 2 speaker/1 woofer combo. Thanks
 
I don't see why you would want speakers that run off your battery, they're usually only rated like 2w at most. I'd go out and buy the Logitech X230's. They're $32 on newegg and 64W. Check out the thread right below this for all the good comments those speakers got.
