I am most probably getting a PS3 this weekend and looking for games. I would prefer UK or EU sellers because of shipping costs, but open to all offers

=EDIT=

Already have:

CoD: MW2
Fallout 3
Little Big Planet
God of War 3
Resistance: FOM
Resistance 2
DC Universe
Infamous
NFS: Pro Street
GT5
Heavy Rain

May I suggest James Bond Bloodstone for the ps3. Not anything great about it, but I like it. Plus, it's for the pc, but a lot more friendly with a console. Bourne conspiracy, that's a different one. Lots of combat, not as much shooting.

With the exception of the lotr games on console, can't say I particularly like games based on films. Goldeneye and Nightfire, they were two pretty damn special games as well.

Should probably mention that I am already getting some games with it:

FO3
MW2
Little Big Plannet
Uncharted 2? (I think, might be Killzone, can't remember from the top of my head)

There are a few more in there that I can't remember at the moment. Should be picking it up tomorrow evening though so will post up the rest, obviously I don't want 2 copies of those lol.

I was not the biggest fan of LBP2, so I don't know. Also wasn't a big fan of uncharted 3. But, you should be happy with your PS3, know I am. Bloodstone isn't based off a movie, you know.

I love little big planet. I cant remember if it is uncharted 2 or killzone 2 but if it is the former I played the latest one and it is one of the worst games to have ever been made. And any game based of an already established story or character are generally awful games

Thrown you a pm

=EDIT=

Games I currently have:

FO3
MW2
God of War 3
Little Big Planet
DC Universe Online
Resistence 2

I believe they are re-releasing ratchet and clank in HD, might want to look into that, great games, but i was like 8 when i played them so might not be the same, but it was fun, also jack and daxter of course, they were made by the people who make the uncharted series

DC universe online is free, hope you didnt pay anything for it.

Read my second post ;)

If it is the original ratchet and clank that is awesome. I don't plan on getting any games New on release though, not worth the excessive console prices

i saw them listed for like 40, normal price is 60, idk when it came out and it's not gonna be cheaper for 3 or 4 games new, and they will give you sooooo many hours of joy, i remember playing through each of them multiple times.

Any particular reason for getting a PS3 apart from console exclusives?

blu-ray and sometimes it's nice to just throw a disk in and play rather than wait for the game to DL, then run into some driver issues or some crap and getting it to work right.

Why do you ask? A ps3 has blu ray, and can play a lot of games better than a pc, because of a lot of games being console ports and not playing very good on a PC. I just figured something out. Did you know that the PS3's gpu (RSX) is basically the same as a 7800GTX. Same architecture, etc. Don't forget to look at EBgames for their used games. Usually, you can find a better deal with eBay though.

Blu Ray i guess would make sense. A lot of people talk about ports from consoles being bad but I never really have that problem. That's kinda sad that the graphics is basically 7(ish) generations old but still manages to look pretty darn good on newer stuff.

Many ports are bad. Have you really compared the 2? I have a gt 240, around 50 percent better than a 7800GTX In test drive unlimited 2, i got 20 fps on low, on the ps3, at least 40 fps on max.

The reason being is that the programmers no EXACTLY what hardware that it will be on and can use every advantage and loop hole to make it run faster. On PCs you have a much wider range of hardware and each behaves and acts differently. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

plus i'm fairly sure they're normally on like 720p aren't they? and they use much less intensive shading and AA and all the goodies.

For games and for blurays/DVDs. I'm buying a tv tonight too, smart arse here didn't notice that my monitor is dvi only, so no sound if I use it. Will get either a 32 or 40 inch and look at getting speakers too.

I'm looking for mainly RPG games right now, no tes or fallout though, got em all on pc
