buying from Amazon? are the products from trusted providers

Hello I'm new to Amazon and I want to buy something from them since local retails are very much overpriced.almost $50 more. I 'd like to know if stuff sold on Amazon are mostly from trusted providers or if it is possible from unverified providers such that any random someone who has some tech skills would register an account and sell rip-off products on Amazon?

I am interested in an electric brush on Amazon by ''Philips Sonicare'' . Can I safely assume that it's actually from Philips ?? Can random someone take a brandname ''Philips'' if they are not actually Philips?/

It's possible but very rare. When I buy from Amazon, I normally look for where it says "Sold and shipped by Amazon" or "Sold by xxx and fulfilled by Amazon" underneath where it says "In Stock".

I didn't normally buy a lot from Amazon, but that has changed over the last few years with my Prime membership and their prices being lower than competitors.

hi , do you mean if a product is ''sold and shipped by Amazon'' it is very likely that it is authentic and can be trusted

Yes. And even if its from a third party seller, I just check their seller reviews. It's like eBay in a sense, but a lot less shitty merchandise is sold on Amazon.

Thank you. I know ebay haa a lot of shitty sellers and I also experienced that

As a returning client of a particular seller for third or fourth time, when I had problems with my goods and ask for handling, the seller said to me

''if you make any trouble, I will ban you and you can't buy from me again, I sell enough goods''
 
Fulfilled by Amazon. ??

I find a great offer on Amazon but it's by an individual followed by ''Fulfilled by Amazon''

Could it be trusted? Did Amazon check the authenticity of the products from the sellers? or they just offer a storehouse for them to store something and ignore its authenticity?

Fulfilled by Amazon is fine. You want to be slightly leery of things that are sold through their marketplace by a different seller, but if it's fulfilled by Amazon you'll get their standard procedure of shipping and quality.
