Burnout my notebook without void warranty

Hey everyone. How can I expire or burnout my laptop without voiding my 3 year warranty in order for futureshop to replace it?

I bought this computer about 8 months ago its a Sony vaio f series with the NVIDIA 310M GPU, I was told it would be able to handle demanding games like battlefield bad company 2 and GTA 4 and well once i finally got the proper drivers and already replaced the computer once because of a faulty disc drive i found out that the NVIDIA 310M GPU was not enough for the games I was looking to play and asked to replace it with the Sony Vaio F with a NVIDIA GT 330M GPU and unfortunately they had none in stock every time a called to check and took my info and said i would receive a call when they had one, so 8 months has passed with no luck and now they have a new line up of Sony f series with a NVIDIA GT 425M GPU so i called to ask if i could trade in my current Sony Vaio F and pay the price difference... and they said unfortunately even with my 3 year warranty they could not help me past the 14 day return policy... unless my current laptop was having an issue. So i was thinking maybe burnout my GPU or CPU or something.

can anyone help me hear so i don't have to full out buy a new Sony vaio for $1500 or be stuck with one that doesn't perform has required?

Thanks.

Sorry to say, but that's a really stupid/selfish question and I would be shocked if anyone would help you. If you must game on your laptop, sell yours and cut your loss.

I agree with Rit. It is kind of stupid that you are trying to do this now considering that you could have returned it 8 months when you knew that you were having graphics problems. Besides, the 425m isnt all too much better then the 310. Check the video card benchmarks for laptops on this site next time you get a laptop: http://www.notebookcheck.net/

Like I had stated...
I had no idea that it would no perform as I was told by the sales person because the first one I had gotten had a faulty disk drives (as i was unable to install any disks) once I had it fixed by future shop I then realized that the computer would not perform so I went back and asked them can I trade it for the Sony Vaio with the NVIDIA GT 330M? and they told me they did not have any in stock so I was tuck with what I have for the time being and said they would take my info down and give me a call when they have what I need in stock and they would try to help me then, so I had thought everything would be OK and i would get what what I had asked for in the first place. SO time past and I would call about once a week for 3 - 4 weeks and nothing.... so until now I found they have what I want in stock and now they wont help me unless my current Laptop fails. Really in the case here I was manipulated by a sales man who would only make his commission if he made a sale to me (which is wrong), i didn't get what I was told I was buying and I would like to be treated fairly, i can't afford to be just throwing money out the window for some thing i don't want but I'm sure futureshop wouldn't suffer any for they're dishonest scam in manipulation.

Please forgive me for asking for any advice but Futureshop isn't a person so I'm not hurting anyone all I want was what I asked for if you don't have it then don't lie to me and sell me a low performing piece of equipment. Its a (GT-425M) which is much better then a regular 310M.

When you go to a box store it's buyer beware. They sell cheap in return for no frills. That doesn't mean they are out to deliberately con you and small stores may have the same attitude. One largish local chain has their sales policy billboarded behind the counter. It's not the slightest bit customer-oriented.

You only have to look in this forum to see the lengths people go to cooling their desktops for gaming. What chance does a laptop have? Many of the good gaming laptops are 3x the cost of your new Sony Vaio replacement.

I agree with Rit, sell it and start afresh.
