I am working on some computers for a business and trying to get rid of those cumbersome desktop speakers. Does anyone know of a built-in speaker solution? Maybe one that goes in an empty PCI slot or something?
The sound card is built onto the motherboard (of course) and has a front panel with a headphone jack, etc. I was thinking I could bypass the headphone connection. Worse case, I could run a wire out the back and plug into the speaker jack.
I got the idea for this because I used to have an old Compaq Deskpro that had a built in speaker that faced out the back and sounded much louder and deeper than you'd expect from an internal speaker.
