Building New System...

Well, I'm potentially building a new system of my own (just need that damn wife approval). I am a firm believer of more eyes being better than a single pair. Does anyone see any obviously bad choices, parts that could be swapped for roughly the same price, or places to shave off a few bucks?

Case: NZXT Apollo Black SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3L
CPU: Intel i5 750
RAM: g.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-650TX 650W Ethusiast Series
HSF: XIGMATEK Dark Knight with i5 bracket kit

I'm not in need of drives, keyboard, mouse, or other peripherals, as they will be coming over from my old system.

I should probably include my usage information. I use my system primarily for WoW, but also play some games on the side (currently Mass Effect 3 and Left 4 Dead 2). I might also be doing some video capture and editing in the future, but I expect it its capable of the above it shouldnt be an issue.

Saves you some money and better setup. Still use same psu and case if you want.

EDIT - If you plan on doing any video editing you would need more memory most likely so I have added some different memory in. 8gb total.

I would have to suggest the build JohnB posted. 2500K  , 5770 was replaced with the 6770 same thing but newer.

Looking at the 2500K myself. :)

What John said. The reasoning? Newer generation of CPUs. Faster, cheaper, and upgrade-able. For video editing, the more RAM, the better. The case you chose is also rather old. Top-mounted PSU, no cable management, and looks like complicated HDD cages. The CM 912 is cheaper and would get you better temps from the cable management compared to that NZXT:

And the NZXT is out of stock, so I'm not sure if they'll be even getting more in or not.

wouldnt a GTX460 beat a 6770? their only like 10 bucks more right now.

and id get a antec 302, due to the cable management scenerio in it.

ddr3 1600 ram:

(you dont need fancy heatspreaders... and buy two sets...so bloody cheap... take your pick on timings...me id go with the crucial)

cheaper, but possibly more feature filled asus mobo:
