Budget PSU

Well im planning on getting
3200+ Venice
Asus A8n E
XFX 6600GT
WD 160GB 7200
Cosair XMS 1GB(2x512MB)

So im looking for something less expensive for now.

you could get a Antec Smartpower 2.0 500Watts
 
is having dual rails better? Also what is the red switch on the back of most PSU's for???

Having Dual Rails is better because it provides more amps I believe and the red switch on the back is to switch voltages(or something similar) because Europe and NA have a different electrical outlet setup.

Not always, sometimes it just means its a whole lot more stable, you can have a PSU with 32A on a Single 12v line, and a PSU with dual 16A lines would be a fair bit more stable (Correct me if im wrong)

And yes, the red switch is for changing voltages, dont change it, the concequences (sp?) arnt very nice (Think of your PSU turning into a smoke machine, trust me, i know)
