BSOD with external HDD

I have this External HDD:

Any help? It installed automatically without any problems and there's no devices in device manage showing problems. Any other info you need, ask.

I would suggest doing a checkdisk on that external drive and post back with the results. Verify the drive is actually in good shape and then we may have to do something else.
 
ok then. The driver causing the blue screen is actually a windows process that reads and writes to the drive. I was hoping the drive was causing the issue. You may have to end up doing a repair of the OS or you can try doing a sfc /scannow and see if there are any corrupted system files.
 
Did that, completed it and it said "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

I'm going to be reinstalling anyways in a month when I sell it for my new build. Might just have to live with it.
 
I really can't think of anything else for you to try. Has it happened from the very beginning of using the external?
 
Pretty much. Randomly does it, sometimes when I'm writing to it, or transferring a file to my computer, or even just browsing through it. Could it be a problem with a USB port?
