broken headphone jack

The plastic ring that goes around the headphone jack broke in a little section and so it doesnt go in tightly, does anybody know a quick fix to fill in the plastic area that broke

don't understand, what exactly broke?
can you post a pic?

i somehow ended up with one of these

maybe u can find one at a local radioshack or electronics shop and replace the whole thing yourself.

wait, are you talking about this????

then i'm not sure what you can stick in there to make a tight fit.
how did you break it

its the second one, I'm guessing someone i live with put a cord in there and then it got pushed downward and cracked the plastic lining around the jack so it doesnt sit in tight

(thats not my actual thing broken but just an example)

its unfortunate :/
