Boot/cd/dvd problem

My computer wont boot cd.When I put the cd the light blinks but it doesnt read it.When I start windows and put the windows instalation cd also nothing.Somebody sad that dvd rom is not working but I put another cd rom in and everything is the same so cd rom works fine.What is the problem and how to solve it?
 
if ya put the cd or dvd in. hold the shift key until it stops blinking. can you browse with explorer and see the files. look for exe or setup.

Dou you need more information?

The cd is fine it is burned correctly.It is not about cds or dvds because nothing that i put in on the cd(music,movies,data) doesnt read.When I put any cd it doesn read it.
 
are you using a legit cd or a burned cd?

if it's legit then did you go into bios and set cd as the first boot device???

if it was burned then was it burned correctly? you should burn it as "burn image." then follow step 1.

and if both mentioned failed then try using a different computer. if it boots from it then perhaps the drive isn't functioning properly.

It is not about burned or legit cds,they worked fine before,and they work on a different computer.Also when I start windows and log shows some kind of message,maybe something is wrong with that.I know that the drive isnt functioning properly.I susspect on drivers,bios,and program for mounting images and creating new drives.Maybe I messed up with something.This is the message that shows all the time untill i press cancel.
