Ok, so I have only Secondary School/High School maths knowledge. Please can someone recommend me a introduction text book to maths concerned with computer science. Which books do you feel helped you? And which would be best for a chap like me ;)

Thank you

Ive talked about this before and tech books. Getting from someone else whether for math or computers or what ever. My suggestion is look on line. I suggest going to a professional book store. Look at math books, Read the preface from the author and who he is catering too. You can check on line and read this. The author might be for intermediate and advanced. maybe you need beginner to intermediate. these books can get very expensive.

Another note if ya want to order from online you get the isbn number. You could call a book store and request they order a book with isbn number what ever.
do your home work. its different for everybody.

for the record ive ordered many books and did homework. everybody is different and where they are at. mine was project management, computers, electrical and electronics.
i always looked at and prefer how a author communicated. Some i liked and others i did not.
its the way they get it across. has to work for me. And it has to work for you.

You could flick an email to the IT department of a local college and ask them what introductory text books they use in their curriculum. You'll want to start off with learning Binary, Hexadecimal and Octal number systems and the conversions between them and also 2's compliment. There will be stuff online about it all if you can't track down a book.
