BofA places "sell" recommendation on AMD stock

They'll never have an issue staying in the market. If they dropped out, Intel would be the sole producer of processors for desktop and laptop computers, creating a monopoly. A true monopoly is illegal in the US.

If the housing bubble should have taught us anything it's that credit ratings are absolutely worthless and nothing but a scam.

It wasn't exactly a credit downgrade. BofA reduced their recommendation of the stock to a "sell." Still not exactly good news for them.

What exactly could they do to Intel for a failed business dropping out of a race? If, hypothetically, that were to happen that AMD death'd, it is not as if Intel initially planned this.

Just curious if there would be action taken... in a hypothetical sense.

Either AMD will get some kind of funding from somewhere or the government will impose sanctions on Intel and not allow them to jack up prices.

I guess some company have to take it over. That is samething I have believe long time, just hope they won't go belley up.
