hey, i got a trouble with my laptop. It keeps showing this blue screen a lot and i don't think it comes when i open any special thing, and if i remember it says "Dumping physical memory in:(whatever number)" then it restarts itself .I got windows 7 by the way PS:People told me about open in safe mode thing but only if and i repeat ,ONLY if that's the only solution i will do it because i don't know what to do after opening in safe mode.I hope you guys could help me.Thanks!

Hi SwordsFLame,
Could you give a little more info? What are you doing, when this happens?
It's hard to help, if we don't know the exact problem :D

I was having that problem on my ASUS lappy from CyberPower...good thing the screen took a dump and it was under warranty...they repaired it...no more BSOD for me.

Safe Mode allows Windows to open to the desktop with minimal and essential drivers loading. It is quite safe to do but also has it's limitations.

What are the error codes when it blue screens? Here are real examples:

0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER

Blue Screen in no special occasion.Nothing special i open makes it appear,in fact sometimes it appears and make the laptop restarts then after it starts the blue screen comes right away before i even open anything. And oh,about the code i will have a look at it when it Blue Screen appears next time .Btw, sometimes i open my laptop for hours and it never shows up but sometimes it comes every...hmmm about 2 hours or so.

Thats the ERROR CODE:
0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

it's the second one you mentioned

PS:I got ASUS laptop with 4.00 GB RAM , Processor Inter Core 2 Duo 2.20 GHz.

I searched it up and found that that code that you said it was ( 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) -
Microsft says -
Cause This behavior can occur if your computer uses the STB nVidia ZX 8-MB AGP display driver. This problem may also occur with the nVidia Riva 128 chip set in general. Some of the drivers for this chip set support OpenGL in a way that conflicts with the NetMeeting sharing function in Windows NT.
Resulution To resolve this issue, obtain an updated video driver for your video adapter from the adapter's manufacturer or from your computer's manufacturer.
To work around this issue, use the standard VGA video driver for Windows NT when you are using NetMeeting with sharing enabled.
a webstie called aumha.org says -
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card). Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above.
so that is saying to check your RAM and other hardware to see if thats the problem

Seems like it might be a graphics card issue. A step to take is to update your drivers and see if you get the Blue Screen of Death after that.

Hey, i got ASUS K40IJ ,and windows 7 ultimate!

And i got this little something called "Driver Genius Professional Edition" ,as you can see it updates driver. I opened it and it offered me critical updates..well, at least it told me it's critical and those updates involves out of date drivers of course which are: -VIA High Definition Audio Drivers

-Inter Chipset Device Software (has 13 driver that needs update)

-Intel Matrix Storage Manager

-Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Drivers

-Atheros AR813x/AR815x Gigabit/Fast Ethernet Controller Drivers

(Those are 18 drivers in 5 driver packages)

SO,should i update all of those as my program wants or should i do something else.

You will need most of them drivers, So the best thing to do is to download and install the Intel Chipset Device Software, Intel Matrix Storage Manager and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Drivers. The last one isn't essential but it could be useful to download it for the future if it isn't big.

Alright ,i just updated the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Drivers .
It told me after update to install, i did and restarted my laptop.
Is what i did right or.....is there something i shouldn't have done or something i missed?!

Did you install it?

Scratch that i misread what you said. Yes i think you did it right. Now just wait and do your normal things you do and see if the Blue screen comes back.
Yup, I will wait. but i will also download the other driver, I just downloaded the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Drivers first because, i remember one time or two that a message popped and told me that Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Drivers stopped working ,but i guess he told me that it came back to work. Anyway that's why i thought it is the most important but, i will update and install the rest too. I hope it gets solved cuz i found a troubleshooting guide that i obviously missed that said i should update my drivers and also other things like good Anti-Viruses, also told me to check the hard disk by right clicking on it then click properties then choose Tools tab ..after that press check now. But i donno watta hell cuz it said it can't be error checked while it is in use (i'm talking about hard disk C ,since the rest of the disks are empty). How is it in use while i closed everything?! I just wanna do this check too to make sure :D and thanks for your help! truly appreciate it! and sorry for typing toooo much :P xD

How disappointing! it came back with different error code (it simply changed) but it is still blue screen of course
