Birthday upgrade - what to replace?

Well, my birthday is coming up and I'm thinking on what to upgrade. This is what i'm thinking of:

-Monitor. 1280x1024 is getting old, fast. 1680x1050 or 1920x1080?

-Hard drive. Loud and "grindy". Possibly failing. getting a bit small on storage space. no bad sectors or corrupted files. has frozen me a few times, possibly caused bluescreens

-Power supply. The one I have isn't exactly the best. Not modular or sleeved. rebranded HEC model...

I can probably choose 2 items, minus the monitor unless i can find a cheap used one. Power supplies are expensive in australia as well.

I'd probably get a cheap 19" LG/Acer monitor from MSY, it makes so much difference. If you have enough money then get a HDD followed by a PSU down the track.

I'd say HDD as well. That new monitor, or PSU isn't going to do you much good, if your HDD does fail on you. Also maybe you can get 2 HDD's and put them in raid 0.

Monitor....greatest upgrade I have made in a while. I even got it for $100 but its a refurb. No issues 1 year later though.

try to find a cheap monitor and a hard drive because a monitor is the most obvious upgrade but a stable system is always best try a used monitor i got my 20inch flat screen for 20 bucks

Thanks everyone :) Instead of getting a new PSU I'll just tear apart my system and do some better cable management :)

HDD first, then monitor. :D

Id get the monitor first,Then sell your old one and whatever you get from that put towards a new HDD.

Dont know what HDD prices are like in Aussie land,But here theyre cheaper than ever,Eg...Seagate 1TB 32mb cache for only £49.33..not ba at all!

I have a new HDD, courtesy of work experience :) Just need to clone my old one. New monitor, then powersupply (although i just redid the cable management tonight)
