Bioshock 2 Recommended Specs: what i have

I have the exact "recommended specs" for bioshock 2

AMD 5200+

8800GT

3GB ram

does this mean my rig will be able to play this game on its high settings?

or just able to play it smoothly on not so high settings?

If you have the exact recommended specifications you should be able to play the game smoothly on higher settings. Most likely though you wont be able to play the game on its absolute highest settings without noticing a little bit of lag though. From my experience you need about 25-50% higher then recommended components to be able to run a game on its highest settings smoothly.
 
id expect medium settings with maybe 2x aa or so with those specs...depending on what res your playing at.

Should be fine.
 
Those system req are not very accurate in my opinion. The recommended GPU for tomb raider underworld for example is 9800GTX, but I was able to play the game on highest detail at 1680x1050 with 8800GTS 320MB !

However, the recommend specs for Crysis is 8800GTS 640MB, but I can't run this game smoothly if I play it on anything above medium details.

So, don't take those recommended specs seriously
