Best sound card for the money

I tried this for video cards and got a great response and a great card.

Now I want to be able to hook my new card to my sound card via the s/pdif cable provided in the box. My onboard audio has no such capabilities. I need a very cheap card that will have the appropriate s/pdif output so that I can get sound through my television spearkers via HDMI input.

I am currently looking at this and this.

I am concearned by the one on eBay because here is a similar auction that shows two different pics of the same card, one looks like it has the proper output and one does not.

I don't have money to gamble with so I want the card I buy to be correct the first time around. Any help? Suggestions?

I only want to spend $5 to $15. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what happened but I saw that Audigy 2 comment. I'm liking what I see so far. Creative really details what is actually on the board. A used one is around 12 bucks. I might just order that today. Sounds like a sure bet. Thanks!

For anyone with the same question

Right now you can get a NEW Auzen Auzentech 5.1 Sound Card X-Studio AZT-STUDIO on eBay for $15 dollars with a 2-pin digital output on the card.

Here's how it went so far. I tried the SB Audigy 2 but the value version of the card I ended up with didn't have the spdif_io pins which would have worked. I then tried a CREATiVE CT4670 PCI Sound Blaster Live Sound which I was fortunate enough to have swapped for no additional cost. It had the spdif_ext pins and I managed to get audio out of my HDMI output with third party drivers (no vista/7 support) but it crashed my computer with the first blue screen I've seen in years :( so I'm just going to take a loss on that one. However I am confident that the card I bought mentioned above will work out great. All in all I'm out $30 but at least I'm gonna get it working without breaking the bank. I knew it was a gamble-anyone want a CREATiVE CT4670 PCI Sound Blaster Live Sound Card cheap ;)
