Battlefield 3 Sound loss

Hey everyone. Usually when I play Battlefield 3 on my laptop I lose pretty much all of the sound of the game. Usually I can only hear the yelling and occasional explosion but my gun as well as most other things in the game are silent. Is there anything I can to do fix this? Please let me know if it's possible.
Thanks

Yes. You can yell angrily at the developers, and then hope they fix something. Which usually results in something else getting broken.

But when it happens during my games, I can only hear occasional explosions and the soldiers yelling. footsteps guns and vehicles are silent. Any suggestions?

Plug in a pair of good headphones or a headset in, and see if anything changes. You might be missing a little too much that inferior laptop speakers can't produce.

Your laptop probably isn't strong enough to play BF3. It's a pretty demanding game. List the specs of your system or just give make and model.

He's my roommate and isn't on very often, so I'll try to answer.

He's got a lenovo y570, i5, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia 555m. It plays it surprisingly well at medium settings.
