Audio Randomly Stops Working

I boot up the computer and the audio stops working. I'm relitively sure it's the drive (realtek). I go to control panel under "sounds and audio devices" and it says "no audio device" this happened before and I reinstalled the driver from the Mobo website, gigabyte. It has worked for about a week of use, and now it's stopped working again. I'm too lazy to keep reinstalling the driver repeatedly everytime it fails. Any ideas? Windows thinks my computer has no audio device. I tried looking in everest but I couldn't find much in there. Any help would be appreciated.

socket 478 2.4 ghz P4. the other one was a 2.8 ghz p4. I had issues with the other processor being kind of incompatable with the mobo, and I'm just gonna use the 2.4 ghz for now.

You'll probably find the 2.8GHz one is 533FSB and the 2.4GHz one is 400FSB which is why you were having issues, some boards don't like the 533's
