Audio Out to Microphone

I want to be able to use a visualization program that uses flash, and takes an audio input from a microphone. I want it to visualize music that I'm listening to, but I am unable to use the audio out to microphone cord trick, since the audio-out plug on my computer will be used. Is there a program that will direct output from the sound card to the microphone input of the sound card?

I think these things are hard wired - certainly mic and line ins will have completely different signal paths to work with the wildly different levels of line and mic.

If you're wanting to output from the mic-in socket then that'll (presumably) be impossible.

No, what I'm trying to to is get the computer to recognize my audio-out as an incoming signal, so that my computer's receiving a microphone signal of whatever my computer's outputting.

What, like internal routing? There might be some 3rd party software that does it, but nothing I know of.
Yeah, I think that's what I want. If anyone knows anything else about that kind of software, please respond! Also, if anyone knows any software that makes audio visualizations gets signals straight from the sound card, then also please respond!
