Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium
Logitech Z-5500

What's a good audio cable to use to connect the two?

Yes, that optical cable is what you need for a digital connection. Make sure you use the Dolby Digital Live function of the audio card to get surround audio from your games if you use this method of connection.

You do not have to get the optical cable, but it is a very good option. The speakers come with analog connection cables.
