Audigy 2 Value vs. Xifi Extreme Gamer

I've got $100 to spend at Fry's with a gift card, plus some of my own money and I was considering getting a new sound card to replace my Audigy 2 Value sound card..... I was looking at the Xifi Extreme Gamer card but am I really going to see any performance difference, both sound and game wise?
 
it would dpepend on the quality of the headphones youre using atm.

I didnt like the X-fi series tbh, since those crystalizers change the sound,.. I prefer keeping it as authentic as possible. true.. you can turn them off,.. but whats the point of the card then? so for me the Audigy 4 was enough,.. and so far, i havnt regretted that decission.
 
What I've found with the Crystalizers is that they more of extend the frequency range which, unless you have speakers that support them, usually get cut off and makes things sound worse, rendering the Crystalizers useless.
 
Just bought the X-FI Xtreme Gamer for X-Mas and man I love it. Quality is awesome for both gaming and music, and whatever else you want. You can change between gaming mode, entertainment mode, and audio creation mode so there is a sound level for anything you want to do. I recommend it.
