Hi,
I have 2 quite amazing speaker systems, and one *okay* system that shines with treble. They are all subwoofer+2 satellites.
My computer has a audigy 2 card. For awhile now, I've been running a 4.1 surround with no setup issue at all. I split the front signal between the good treble system and one of the other systems, and then just ran a 15ft cable to the rear system. Works great. but only as 4.1
The audigy has a 3rd output, rear/center/subwoofer. Plugging a 2.1 system into this plug fails miserably (no surprise!) It sends subwoofer signal to one of the satellites, and med/treble to the bass--and the 2nd satellite gets no signal at all. This is true for both systems described above, when connected to the rear/center/sub output on the audigy 2 card.
So my question is, is there any way to mess around with this configuration and pull out a 5.1, or 6.1 surround sound? All 3 systems can potentially play digital, but are currently configured for analog. What are your thoughts?
