ATI 5450 HDMI no sound

Hey guys, i got a 5450 for my HTPC, and the video is working fine, there just isnt any sound.

Im running windows XP ATM, ive uninstalled the Realtek drivers, but the it wont pick up the 5450 in the audio section.

Ive downloaded the audio drivers from the ATI website, and have installed them, but still nothing.

Any ideas welcome.
 
Try and boot without the video card installed, restart and check your audio, shut down, then plug it back into the pci-e slot and reboot. Should see if there's any changes. Also, do you have an hd monitor? You can see any crucial system requirements under the footnotes tab on the Radeon website. Are you using a soundcard as well? Have you done a fresh install of it's drivers and disabled onboard audio?
