ok, im looking to get this but, does the 7.1 mean that i technically need to use it with speakers than support 7.1.... or can i just use it with any speakers and itll be fine.

I dont have bad speakers, logitech speakers with a sub, paid about 50quid a year ago for them...

Just dont really understand if i need better speakers to use this card or...

7.1 means that it can run anything up to 7.1. As for those speakers, I doubt you'd need a sound card. Logitech doesn't exactly make good speakers.

Logitech products are excellent at a discount, terrible at MSRP. 5 years ago the same Logitech products you can buy today had a street price about half of what they do now. Since the prices have doubled -> Logitech now sucks.

For example, if the Honda Civic and Accord were twice the price, then Honda clearly does not make good cars.
 
well daisymtc it doesnt matter what you buy there is always something better out there!!

at the end of the day they might use cheaper componants but unless your willing to shell out mega money for the best, you take a deap breath read the reviews and choose something that suit your budget

i got philips ambx sound system on my pc, its not the best by far but i couldnt give a dam cos they give off nice sound

Yeah, but it always down to the price. I've got my 2.1 Acoustic Energy AEGO M with £100. Your philips 2.1 at £50??
But there are always some one want 5.1 system at £50, so logitech would probably the solution (although sound not great, but relatively OK when compare to other 5.1 PC speaker with similar price)

BTW, I don't think it worth getting DX2 for cheap speaker. May be getting D1/DX??
 
philips ambx full kit £150 true you can buy the speakers alone for £50... i would rather buy expensive headset than speakers
