ASUS X53SK doesn't play bass through head phones

Hello everyone. I'm new here, not sure where exactly to post this.

So I've recently bought a new laptop - ASUS X53SK and one issue I've had since day one is it just won't play bass sounds through head speakers. I'm using Solo HD beats with it, and they work just fine on my old laptop and other devices.
I've tried doing some research on the matter, and it appears to be a problem with my sound card or sound driver.
Got pretty confused along the way.
The sound driver for this laptop is Realtek, and I would tell you the full name if I knew it (not very techy =( )
Oh, the sound driver is up to date.
It's really bugging me. I'm a huge music addict.

Should I take it back to store? Or is it an issue that I can solve with a bit of help?

Thank you for your time. =)

Might be a problem with the audio driver. First make sure the headphones are plugged all the way in. Might not get it all the way in with a new toy, may be different.

Next, open up device manager and go to the sound section. See any yellow triangles?

If not, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I found two on the Asus website:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=X53SK&p=3&s=114

One is the Realtek and the other is the high-def driver. Look for the drivers in the uninstall menu. Uninstall them then restart the computer. Install the drivers again and restart. See if its working then.

Realtek usually has a graphic equalizer in the sound options, enable it and adjust accordingly.......
