Alright so i just got eveerything put together on my system, but my board won't go past code FF which should mean its getting ready to detect memory but it doesnt move on? nor is any picture coming up, and IDK where the chasis sound is for a Antec 1200. If anyone could help that would be awesome

you could try reseting your cmos, as well as push down on the actual bios chip on the motherboard. sometimes it gets rattled around and may need to be better seated. the ff code your refering to usualy means that the board has made it through diognostics and is ready to boot, (Fully Functional), OR it could mean that its ready to check for cpu and isnt able to get past that. also try taking everything out of the computer and assemble it outside of its case. reseat the cpu, being sure to have a heatsink on top of ot and pluged into the motherboard. use only 1 ram stick making sure it is also seated well, and the graphics card too. try thr 1 ram stick in all the ram slots one at a time. when if non of this works, then turn the pc off, and instead of hitting the power button to turn it back on, hit the mem ok button. this will boot your pc and run through working settings for your ram. for now thats all i can think of. do these things exactl;y like im explaining them. if you need more help id say either, try a different cpu, or rma the board back to newegg, if thats where you bought it from.

i almost bought the same board, but decided to wait till someone had some experience with it, so keep us updated please.

by the way, is the code your getting FF or F.F.? if its F.F. then your cpu is not being recognized and reseating it would be where to start, followed by a cmos reset and pull of battery while unplugged from outlet.

For those wanting to be kept updated, everything on the motherboard appears to be in working order, no burns, no scratches, cracks etc. Did all as was stated above, I have it taken up to an IT Tech guy i know for free. If anything is wrong i beleive I just got a DOA Board, For gamers this board is amazing though, about 1.5 inches between Dual SLI'd HD Radeon 6970's, and those arent exactly small :)

For anyone wanting to know what happened. The board is absolutely fine, as are the cpu, ram, and all the video cards. Like a dumbass, I didnt realize my board's standard video card chipset running is to open bios with an NVIDIA graphics, so the motherboard is still compatible with ATI/AMD it just can't do first boot with them. Fortunately I have an old NVIDIA card that I can use to get first boot out of, update all the drivers, install windows 7, etc. Then with my old card in and one new card in go to www.ati.com and grab the software i need to run my 2 HD 6970's with my bios. Problem solved

i dont understand what you mean. and the link youprovided for amd isnt very helpful, since its just there main site and understanding what to look for is pretty much non existant. can you explain any better please, and also, how is the board working out? have you overclocked at all?

The link was just a reference to what my plans are to do, as for the board working, I couldnt tell you yet. I will be posting tonight on how well it all went back in, and what i could stabily overclock

just out of curiosity, are you putting your graphics card in the 1st blue slot, or the non blue slot under it? and are you still getting codes like the FF, or was it F.F.? or are they different now?
