maybe i shouldnt have asked if i was ready to reject your answer..

but if u order from the us, you end up paying the difference of the exchange rate + the conversion fee + duties at the border + shipping to canada.

it ends up costing far more to order from the us, so im looking canadian based prices as retail.

so really wats the depreciation on average for a used graphics card, say one year old, retail box, all peripherals/manuals included. like 30%?

and its only oc'd 10% after 3d detection from ati tool. which I game an average of 1 hour per day. My computer goes on standby after 20 mins. so its standing by for 20 hours of the day atleast. so it should be in excellent condition after a year or so. the idle/load temps are decent

If you are going to sell it and tell people it has been OCed it will not sell or sell for much less, it voids any warranty and most people have a stigma when it comes to over clocking.

Also, for easy reference, take 60% of the original value if less than a year old.

If your telling people that it has been OCed for a year, you might as well knock off 80%. Also, how about being a little clearer on what your threads are actually about?

well it hasnt.

it only overclocks when i play games, ati tool automaticly oc's and boosts fan speed from 20%--> 50%

its overclocked no more than 30 mins average a day and it runs cooler than what it does on stock speeds after fan speed boost :) i think 60% sounds fair?

and umm whats the risks of oc'ing video cards ? I thought non-overvolt overclocking could'nt cause damage, other than heat killing the card.

sorry i meant for the thread to be opened/cloed within minutes, but nvm

forgot to mention

50%(oc/3D) fan speed @ 635/1600 ---> 62 load
20%(stock) fan speed @ 580/1400 ----> 72 load

no overvoltage, i see no harm in doing this, my card is actually coolng down when its oc'd, oppose to stock settings

Being realistic, if you just raise the clocks, its not going to do much at all to the card. It will still last for many years, and by the time it dies, it will be so out of date it would be considered incapable to be used for even the average home user. Now voltmoding is a different story.
