Asked question on other forum-No Help!

I have posted this on 2 other forums but I get no answers. I hope you can help me out. Long story short I have severe tinnitus(ringing in the ear's)and I need to listen to a white noise using my MP3 player. Have had many MP3 players over the years and this is the first time I have come across this problem.

I have a masking CD( it's put out by the Oregon Hearing Institute) which I transfer the noise to my MP3 player. I bought a Coby MP3 player and the reason for this is because it still is powered by a AAA battery. When I try to download the file(white noise)to it it tells me it's an "unknown file" and will not play.

Like I said this is the 1st player to do this. Does anyone know how I can make the unknown file to a MP3 file so I can load and play it on my MP3 player? Many Thanks for your input! It's appreciated.

use ANY AUDIO CONVERTER or FORMAT FACTORY to convert it to an mp3 file that will play try different background codecs

I know tinnitus all too well.

Is there a program on the disk, or is it just an audio file? If audio file, look at the end of the file name for the file extension (like "whitenoise.mp3, whitenoise.wav, etc...)
