Anyone got it, anyone got any views on it, reviews on the internet are pretty much all the same, it rocks god damn ass, lol... if anyones been reading any of my posts they will know im not happy with the temp my 478 pressy is getting to. reading the reviews, sometimes the fan gets a bit loud, so i might undervolt when/if i get it... other than that, its damn cheap and damn quiet and damn good at cooling

TECH SPECS:

THERMAL RESISTANCE: it has a thermal resistance of 0.20 *c/w this is quite respectable, the intel stock cooler is at 0.28 *c/w lower is better, as less resistacne aids thermal flow...

NOISE/SOUND: well, AC are being gay, they only list their sound ratings in sone, not dBA, however, the current AC super Silent 4 Ultra ive got is damn wuiet and it is rated 1.4sone, ironically the freezer 4, a (performance cooler) is rated at a LOWER 1.0sone, i believe this is about 21-23dBa, which is damn quiet...

32 CFM @ 2200rpm, not too great, my silent one moves 42 CFM @ 2300rpm. The freezer 4 is assisted by copper heatpipe though, so max air flow is not required....

so yeh, it seems fairly good, and fairly cheap, im asking if anyones got it or had experience with it, anythign i should look out for, any niggles/bugs with it etc....

cheers, dragon

Yup AC 64 freezer is GR8 Heatsink. I had one on my 3500+ and have one on my 4600+ x2 :D does the job ! had the 3500+ @ 2.4ghz, temps were around 28-30C. My 4600+ x2 also hangs around 30C none OC. Also the HSF is very quite (alot quiter than the standard HSF i got with the CPU).

EDIT: i guess that the AC freezer 4 will have the same sort of results !

lol, i was about to say i was talking about the freezer4 not 64, lol, but yeh, i hear the whole freezer range from AC is pretty good and real cheap too althoguh looking at some of the pics of it, the contact footprint of the copper base could do with a nice bit of lapping

dragon :D
