Anyone with Battlefield 2142 Help

Hi, I have the new battlefield 2142 as my connection to the servers is extremly poor and the connection keeps cutting out, i know this maybe due to the connection i have which is only 1MB which I hope to change shortly but for the time being I noticed in the battlefield manual on page 22 their is a topic called Internet Performance Isssues and it shows what port numbers are required to be allowing game-related trafic on TCP and UDP ports. Now i have a belkin router and I have allowed certain ports for other games online without a problem. But with the port numbers which are in the game manual how and where do they go in the router settings as the way the ports are layout it doesnt seem obviosu. So anyone with the game and a belkin router please help...

before you start messing in the router.. try using the advanced search tab of BF2142 to find servers.. i had the same problem.. but when you use the advanced tab, you can actually see the ping of the server's.. Look if you see servers with a ping under the 50 there please :)
 
Thanks for suggestion. But still no joy. It does seem though that alot of the servers status's are orange, meaning the latency is poor. Does anyone know a reliable, fats server they would like to recommend?

hmm... have you tried just completely resetting your router (Like a bios reset, to load the default values, so the Napt table etc is cleared)

However.. you will have to enter your DLS/Cable connection again if you do that.
 
Turned it all off and back on which can sometimes solve the odd connectivity issues. See the thing I am unsure about is whether its a issue at my end or just all the aviable servers are no good.?
