I had itunes on my Windows XP Pro setup. But I installed Windows 7 and now I can't add music to my iphone!

Is there a way to do this? I googled it and it said I had to authorize the PC, which I did! But nothing's changed. :-(

I don't import songs into my itunes library. I use Creative MediaSource.

But last night I imported all 4800 tracks... sonuva. haha

What's tick sync? That a typo? :-/

First your music needs to be in iTunes. Then in devices click iPhone or what you named it click the music tab beside ringtones and click sync music, then sync entire library

But it says it's gonna replace everything on my iPhone with whatever is in my library. That doesn't sound like something I want. Haha

Is it not the exact same as it is on all other apple devices?

Open itunes with the iphone plugged in and see it in the column on the left. Select the music you want, drag it over to the iphone and let it copy

But that's only allowed if you do it on the computer you set the device up on. I installed Windows and for some reason my XP won't load properly now so I can't go back and load more songs!

Well if there's no music on the iPhone it won't replace anything you can only sync the iPhone with one compute / iTunes library so just replace the music with your itunes library. Even my mom would know how to do it haha and she's really computer illiterate

Dude... you serious? I have 1200 tracks on my iphone currently.

I am asking what to do if you want to add music to your ipod from let's say... your PC and your cousins PC.

No need to insult people.

Chris: you can either erase the iPod and replace it with everything you have on your computer which is fine as long as everything is on the computer that is on their now. Or, you should be able to hit manually manage music, then drag the music to the iPod, even if the iPod is connected with a different install than it was set up with.

It is the 3rd option in the option section here (should be in a same or similar place for the newer iTunes, this is slightly old):

EDIT- I saw your last post(you posted while I was working on all that^^). The option I told you to uncheck will allow you to sync with multiple installs/computers.

Manually manage music, then apply. That prompts me to erase everything I currently have on my iphone for music.

All the music currently on my iphone is all from my PC, but if if tries to add my entire library, it would fail. I have well over 40gb of MP3s.

Well, that may be what you have to do. Use sharepod to get any music onto the computer that you need, and do that, would be what I would say.

Well how did you get the songs into the iPhone in the first place. IF they are in your PC theres nothing wrong with replacing them. You wont lose any. About the GB just put the ones u like on it with playlists or by artist
