Anyone own wireless headphones?

Can I ask, are the transmitters bulky and/or do they require a plug socket, or are they battery powered?

I'm just wondering if you could just plug the transmitter into an mp3 player, shove both into a coat pocket/bag, and listen to music on the go. I really have no idea.
