Anyone Aware Of The Blue Screen Of Death Virus?

A computer I have and 3 laptops that 2 people I know had got The Blue Screen Of Death Virus and it stops computers completely. I know it comes from USA and just kills computers. Has anyone on here come across it or experienced it?

A BSOD isn't a virus at all, it is a diagnostic tool built into Windows to prevent hardware damage or data corruption. It can be caused by a virus, but it can just as easily, and more likely, be caused by incorrect drivers or faulty hardware, the majority of the time your RAM

There is no BSOD virus. There are some that pretend to be a BSOD but really aren't.

This makes my day.

It must be an error in the computer then. I know someone else has tried but they can't get rid of it on my other computer.

Blue screens are not a virus. As said before, blue screens are usually hardware related due to bad memory or failing hardware or incompatible drivers. There are some cases where a virus may cause a blue screen such as in a mbr/bootkit infection. But a blue screen isn't a virus.

Does the system allow you to boot into windows? If so, then do the following and post the results.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Does it give you a blue screen stop code or a file name that is causing the issue. Can you post a screen shot of the blue screen, you will have to use a camera or cell phone camera.
