Any audio/video editors out there???

Hey there everyone. Here's a mystery for yaz:

I just aquired a video editor called CyberLink PowerDirector, which is a pretty cool video editor. In fact, PC Mag. gave it its "Top Pick" award. That's all well and good, but when I got it all downloaded and installed, everything works great... except the audio. Ughhh...

I have Win XP SP1
Digidesign Digi 001 sound card/recording interface (default)
no "typical" sound card, but SuperMAX digital drivers for my MB.

The video editor Windows Movie Maker drives audio just fine, but this editor, as well as one other on my computer, does not run audio.

I've gone through everything that I know to correct, but no help.

Anyone have a similar problem??? Drivers, codecs, etc??

Hope someone has a magic formula.

Thanks in advance, eh?

It could just be that the program is not compatible. My Realtek was not compatible with Sonar, which was one of the main pushes to get my current one.

It might be a similiar issue with me also, with the realtek drivers on my motherboard, i can't use any audacity, so now i just some x-fi card.
