ok so ive been helping my friend with her computer lately cuz she is completely not into computers at all and is one of those people who clicks and clicks and clicks. But so ok lately when she is on the web she will get a pop up that says "you are infected....(basically a lot of stuff saying your infected i dont remember exactly what it says she was on the phone) but then it does this scan thing saying your infected and so on, when you try to close it it wont go away so she has to hold down the power button and then turn it back on. everything works fine for the most part, i recently ran malewarebytes, superantispyware, and her virus software that her bf had purchased from trend micro (i forget the exact name) But so malewarbytes found i think 6 things, which i didnt get to save the log, but after that i was able to save a HijackThis log which i wanted you guys to look at and tell me how it is, i know somethings should be updated but im moreso looking for viruses.

Then click on fix checked at the bottom.

You are running an old version of java, please go into add/remove programs and uninstall all instances of java and then go here to download the latest version.

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

I would probably recommend upgrading the installation to SP2 as well for Vista.

Malwarebytes saves the log under its log tab. Open up malwarebytes and click on the logs tab. find the scan for what you did and doubleclick on it and you can copy and paste that back here if you want.

thanks for your help as always, ill do those things as soon as i can, one this was with installing service pack 2 for vista it wouldnt let me, it kept comming back with an erra so i did some reading about it and im going to see if i can fix that, but thank you again and i am going to try to get the malwarebytes log as soon as i can

hey the HiJackThis log i had posted first was actually done after the malwarebytes scan so that is a fresh one

I just now noticed that malwarebytes is way outdated. Please open malwarebytes and click on the update tab, then click on check for updates. Keep doing it until it says you have the latest version then rerun a quick scan and post it along with a fresh hijackthis log.

well i dont have the computer with me right now, but i will do it next time i get a chance thank you as always for the help
