Which would be better? If I wanted to even these out what speeds would I need to overclock to? I wish to benchmark these at exact or almost exact speeds.

Depends on the application. In gaming I'd say that the Sempron may have the edge, but in everything else the P4 would win, especially since it has HT.

Omega's right, I would go with the P4. Because Im pretty sure that it is easier to OC but it also overheats like crazy, my friend has one, Idle at 138F

Which one overheats? Both has AS5, and the P4 has freaking alot of cooling.. the P4 I bought came with an aluminum 25CFM fan, I gave it AS5, full copper heatsink, and an 43CFM fan, 5CFM northbridge fan, 2 case fans... ect...

I can get the 2600+ From 1.6Ghz to around 1.9GHz. Games are BF2, Halo, ect... I can raise memory and CPU voltages on this one.

And the P4 to maybe 3.10 before crashing.

Darn... what is the Sempron equivalent to? And what if the P4 had 64+256MB while the Sempron has 1GB? Any difference?

Are you talking about RAM? If so, then the Sempron would run newer games much better. The P4 system would struggle with even some of the older games.

Not halo or BF2 though... RAM makes that much of an difference? The RAM is just Super Talent DDR400 1GB...

And yes RAM.
