I purchased in around July some new headphones with about 10$, and about one or two months ago the right speaker from the headphones stopped working. It has proven to be a faulty coil which wasn't staying in it's place, so i couldn't use those any more.
This means 10$ to the trash can.

Also, just before that I purchased an MP4 Player that came with some cheap headphones that worked perfectly until...until now, when after connecting them to the PC i only heard with the left ear. Tested them on the MP4 player, to see if the problem was with the computer but NO, it was with the headphones.

Strangely, the first headphones lasted 2 months and these ones same: 2 months (since i started using them on my computer). Also, i can't hear with any of them on the right ear.

Wat the hack is this?? Is my right ear damaging the headphones???

Now what model of headphones should i get TO LAST LONGER.
But not more expensive than 10$ because i'll be out of money...

Spending money on a good pair of headphones is worth it, trust me. Cheap ones don't give even remotely as good sound, and in the end you'll waste more money anyways coz you'll have to buy new ones every two months (you get the idea - cheap don't last)

you kind of hint at the answer. you are spending 10 dollars. like hackapelite said, if you want to enjoy your music and not do damage to your ears, you should invest in a decent pair of headphones. they dont have to be too expensive, but trust me, it will be money well spent.

You could always buy a cheap audio jack splitter, and put both pairs in, with the smaller ear bud style headphones in the right ear. Since you don't want to spend much :P
