Adobe Audition Fail

Hey everyone, I have Adobe Audition CS5.5 installed on my Lenovo Ideapad Y570 and recently had to reinstall my audio drivers and now I am unable to record audio into audition with my built in mic. I have not tried any external mic as I do not currently have access to one. Any ideas for troubleshooting this issue? Thank you all for your time.

FYI: I have no other issues with my speakers or sound card functionality at this time
