additional storage on remote computer

I was having trouble with windows 7 but couldn't detect malware or virus. As I usually do in these situations I killdisked the hard drive and loaded Linux, in this case SuSE 11.2. I opened partisan and listed was the words "additional storage at edwardmalina computer. Edward Malina is a 93 year old man I hardly know, I fixed his computer 5 years ago. How could he be listed on a new load of Linux on my computer? another mystery is why my 500gig hard drive shows up as only 240 gigs.

About the edward malina thing, did you perhaps buy your computer from him? cause it seam s like the computer name is edwardmalina. try another version of linux such as ubuntu. if it happens again then its most likely the computer name. as for the hard drive issue is your hard drive split as a main and then backup/recovery?
