Added vid card and now no mixer....

Ok, I had recently installed and uninstalled a ATI radeon x1300pro on my dell 8300. After I put it in I noticed that there was no sound. I then uninstalled the vid card and noticed that there was no more sound mixer. WTF!? Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks again.

My first thought was a hardware conflict of some sort, but those are very rare anymore... Check in Device Manager and see if there are any !'s or ?'s.
