Do any one know if this desktop processor can be upgraded with the original motherboard?

It has a pentium 4 cpu and I wouldn't be wasting money on this old system. You will need to buy a new system or have one built for you.

this says c2d, but there are not many upgrades and core2 cpus are rediculously expensive too.

But mine have a dual core E6500.
And btw,can my com support a palit GeForce 550ti 1024mb GDDR5 graphics card?

Yeah, it will work, however you will need to get a better power supply.
