accessing history on a hard drive!!!!!!

hi every1,

just wondered if any1 could help me plz. I am wanting to access the history on my hard drive.. if this is even possible.. i know nothing about computers apart from how to switch them on and off lol... just wondered if anyone could tell me how to do this?..
