Accessing A Computer On A Router From The Internet

I am trying to run a server on a computer that is hooked up to the internet via a Dlink router. I have gone into the router's main settings and setup a virtual server and pointed it to share the http port 80 to the specific ip address of the computer running the server. After that, I dont know where to go from there. If you type in the computers ip (example 192.168.0.100) on another computer on the same network, you can see and access the server fine, but I have no idea how to access it from outside the network so it will available on the internet. Is this even possible?? Any help would be appreciated.

i have a similar problem, i have a Belkin router and I dont know how to access it over the internet. What my router tells me to do is enable remote access and go to any computer with internet access and type in the WAN address, although i cant find this on my router.
