a cable question?

I borough myself a jack lead, (as I said earlier)
To try and recorded cassette into Mp3/wav format, any way I have found that the cassette does not have any connection on the back,
so I have found an casstel tape player ( hand held one) with a socket for ear phone, and on the back of my computer in the two speaker socket one green one blue and microphone socket – red

What type of lead will I need to connect up the two?
 
I dont know what its called, but i do knwo if this were to work you would need to plug it into blue, the blue is input(green is out, and red is mic as you said)

I finlay got my cable,

one that fits into a earphone socket ( coming form the Radio/ casstle) and the other socket going into the soudn cards, now it black but its only seems to work in the red plug ( mircpone socket) is this correct I thourgh it should go into the Black plug? :) or even the blue socket as you state? :confused:

normally when you buy cables, they arent color coded, or in your case its most likely a universal cord so it can work in any plug, but not for your purpose, so try the blue one.
 
Just incase anyone is wondering what the hell there talking about the cable is infact a 1/8 jack to a 1/8 jack!!

Just incase you diddnt know!!

that is what we figured.:)
 
What software you using to record? The only recording tool in windows is that stupid sound recorder. It will record for like 60 seconds.

Well that works fine, as long as you are only recording 60 seconds worth. But ya what are you using?
