A budget sound card

I'm currently using the p35-ds3l on-board sound and I have the logitech x-540 5.1 speakers.

I think my speakers deserve a better sound card and I've been wondering which sound card would be an upgrade big enough for me to notice a difference.
I play games and listen to music most of the time and occasionally watch movies.

I don't plan on getting those crazy ones like the ones from Razer or fatility champ stuff.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I would either go with a cheap card such as the Audigy SE or go with a full x-fi card (xtremegamer for budget, titanium for more expensive).

@Nevakonaza: Does that card game well? I remember looking up much reviews before I bought my xtrememusic and most reviews say that the Xtreme audio is just a rebadged Audigy SE with modified drivers that renders some of the x-fi effects.
